privacy & cookies
The short version: we collect very little, and we never sell it.
No third-party trackers. No advertising pixels. No data brokers. What you type into the inquiry form goes straight into our own CRM. It isn't parked in another company's marketing platform. Beyond that, the only thing we hold, if you allow it, is anonymous counts of which pages get read. Last updated October 15, 2026.
what we collect
Two things, and that's it.
What you send us. When you submit the inquiry form we receive your name, business name, email, your phone number and what your business does if you give them, and whatever you write about what's slowing you down. With it comes the page you sent it from, including any campaign tags in that link, and, only if you accepted analytics cookies, which site or campaign first referred you. We use it to reply to you and to understand the problem. Nothing else.
Anonymous usage, only if you agree. If you accept analytics cookies, we record which pages get viewed, which link or campaign referred you, your screen size, and a random ID that lets us tell a repeat visit from a new one. That ID is not linked to your name and cannot identify you. If you decline, none of this is collected at all.
We do not collect your full IP address, we do not fingerprint your device, and we do not track you across other websites.

Analytics cookies are set only after you press Accept. You can change your mind whenever you like (), and declining removes anything already stored.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a decline automatically and never show you the banner.
One more thing that isn't a cookie: if you type into the “what's slowing your business down” box at the bottom of a page, or send your numbers from the time calculator, that text is held in your browser's session storage just long enough to pre-fill the inquiry form. It never leaves your device unless you submit that form, and it's deleted the moment the form reads it or you close the tab.
where it goes
Into our own CRM. Not a marketing platform.
When you submit the form, our server sends it straight into the customer system our team built and runs for ourselves. It becomes a new lead and a reminder for our team to get back to you. There is no third-party form service holding your inquiry, no marketing platform, and no lead broker involved.
When a new inquiry arrives, our team gets a short alert on their own devices with your name and business name, delivered through the standard push service built into their browser or phone. The full details stay in the CRM.
If our CRM can't be reached at the moment you submit, the form tells you it didn't send, and our server writes your submission to its private error log so it isn't lost. Only our team can see that log, and our hosting provider deletes it automatically after a short time.
Two providers are involved purely as plumbing: our hosting provider, which runs this site and our CRM and keeps standard server logs, and the database provider our CRM stores its records with. Neither uses your inquiry for their own purposes, and both act strictly on our instructions.
Analytics, if you allow them, go to our own systems. Not to Google Analytics, not to an ad network, not to anyone who would build a profile of you.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone for their own purposes. That includes, for the avoidance of doubt, under the California Consumer Privacy Act, which we treat as applying to everyone regardless of where you live.
how long
Kept while it's useful. Deleted on request.
Your inquiry stays in our CRM while we're in conversation and for as long as it's reasonably useful afterwards, so we can pick up where we left off if you come back. We review what we hold periodically and clear out what we no longer need.
If you'd rather we didn't keep it, say so and it's gone. No conditions, no waiting period. Cookie lifetimes are listed in the table above.
your rights
Ask, and it happens.
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and you can withdraw analytics consent at any time without giving a reason. If you're in the UK or EU, the GDPR gives you these rights explicitly; if you're in California, so does the CCPA. We apply them to everybody.
Send your request through our inquiry form and say it's a privacy request. A real person on our team will handle it. No ticket queue. We aim to respond within a few days and, at the latest, within the time the law allows.
children
This isn't a site for kids.
Upshift sells business services and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us through the inquiry form and we'll remove it.
changes
If this page changes, the date changes.
If we ever start collecting something new, we'll update this page and ask for your cookie choice again rather than relying on a decision you made about something else. This version is dated October 15, 2026.
